The Chartreuse Garden Coat

A statement piece built around an extraordinary textile.

The Bloomsbury Coat is cut from a richly textured floral brocade, woven with oversized chartreuse blooms and deep green foliage against a luminous metallic ground. The dimensional weave gives the fabric an almost sculptural quality, shifting between soft champagne, silver and green reflections as it catches the light.

Designed in an exaggerated cocoon silhouette, the coat features dramatically voluminous sleeves, dropped shoulders and a generous, architectural shape that falls freely around the body. A single button at the neckline provides a delicate contrast to its bold proportions, while black ribbed cuffs subtly ground the opulence of the brocade.

The coat is intentionally unlined, allowing the special metallic weave to retain its natural structure, movement and luminosity. With fabrics of this complexity, we prefer to leave the reverse of the textile visible rather than conceal its construction — making the inside part of the character of the piece.

Do not wash.
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not wring.
Do not iron directly on the brocade surface.
If necessary, steam gently from a distance or press very lightly from the reverse side using a protective cloth.
Store on a wide, supportive hanger to preserve the sculptural shape and sleeve volume.

Special care: Avoid prolonged friction against rough surfaces, jewellery or sharp objects, as the raised brocade threads are delicate and may snag.
